Sneezing Tip

sneezing-gp.jpg

Here is a simple and quiet method to prevent sneezing. There are several methods; but I’ve found this one to work the best.

When you feel a sneeze coming on, gently tickle the roof of your mouth with the tip of your tongue. Continue this until the urge to sneeze dissapates. (5-10 sec.)

i didn’t know that about the sneezing , but what i do is that when you yawn instead of making it obviouse close your mouth and sick your tounge to the roof of your mouth untill you don’t feel the need to yawn

Thank you, tara. It’s great to hear that hint! It sounds very similar to the one used for sneezing!

Perhaps there is something wrong with my sneeze reflex, but I have found the technique recommended to be inevitable sneeze-inducer. In fact, I can cause myself to sneeze by doing that, even if I have no compulsion to sneeze otherwise.

I was taught, when learning public speaking, that often a sudden sharp pain, such as a pinch, will discourage a sneeze. Of course if one is wearing gloves (as a lady might do on a formal occasion) this won’t work, but I have used it to excellent effect on many occasions; it is usually quite easy to pinch the back of one’s own opposite hand.

    Dear davidrochester,
How interesting! Yes, I believe that the ‘pinching method’ that you described above, is another option to use.
    Thank you for sharing!

I came across your blog about sneezing and very interesting. I tried this method and It worked! I was doing a presentation and was amazed with this trick.

By the way, I enjoy reading your blog! Nowadays, ladies tend to forget how to be a lady and your blog is an eye opener for the younger generation.
