What a lovely quote, and a lovely photo! I hope that at the end of my life I can say that I lived with grace such that it made the world a better place.

    Dear Clare,
I am a young teenager who is trying to learn as much as I can about having grace and poise and being a lady! I appreciate reading a blog that focuses on not just the clothes that a lady wears, but also how she sits, crosses her hands, or speaks. Many women have forgotton what it takes to be a lady, and this site is great place to start (being a lady that is)!

Hi Katie, welcome to Grace & Poise. How wonderful to hear that you’re putting into practice what we aspire to women all around the world. Yes, a woman may have perfect pearls and Chanel shoes but if she doesn’t hold herself as a lady the expense and significance of those items fades into insignificance.

Thank you for your comment – and we look forward to seeing you around here in the future.
